This is the English translation of ticket terms and conditions originally in Finnish. In the event of any discrepancy between the Finnish and English versions, the Finnish version shall prevail.

Purchasing and delivery

  1. Your ticket will arrive via the delivery method chosen at the time of purchase. You will also be able to download your ticket from your Musiikkitalo customer account if you made the purchase while logged in.

  2. We offer the following delivery methods:
    4. PDF ticket, available by email or to download online. You can either print your PDF ticket at home or display it on your phone or other mobile device. Prior to your arrival at the venue, please ensure that you are able to open your ticket using your phone or other mobile device.
    5. Mobile ticket purchased online.
    6. Paper ticket, purchased at Musiikkitalo box office and printed on ticket paper.
    7. Group tickets by post. Only group tickets are eligible for postal delivery. Postal deliveries are only available for addresses in Finland. There is an additional fee of EUR 10 per order for this service. Please note that the delivery time for group tickets by post is 8–12 days. Musiikkitalo and the event organiser are not responsible for any delays or damages resulting from the delivery.

  3. Please check your tickets carefully on receipt.

  4. If you did not receive your ticket at the box office or your ticket has not been delivered to you, please contact Musiikkitalo customer service team immediately. For contact details, please visit https://musiikkitalo.fi/en/contact-us/.

  5. Once purchased, tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded. Tickets are deemed purchased when you have confirmed payment via your chosen payment method.

  6. The resale or supply of tickets in conjunction with another product or service, whether in exchange for payment or not, is prohibited without express written consent of the event organiser.

  7. If you choose not to provide your contact details when purchasing a ticket, Musiikkitalo and the event organiser will not be held liable in the event that errors are discovered in the event or ticket information and we are unable to reach you. In such a circumstance, your ticket will not be eligible for exchange, refund or other.

  8. Musiikkitalo is the ticket broker. The event organiser is responsible for the event’s content, including programme and any changes and amendments thereto; for cancellation and any associated costs; and for all obligations arising under Section 2 of the Value Added Tax Act (940/1999). Further information about refunds in the event of a cancellation is available under Section 5b of this document.

  9. The event organiser may introduce additional and deviating terms and conditions for the purchasing and use of tickets. Any such terms and conditions will be clearly highlighted in the event information.

Payment methods

  2. Culture vouchers
    You can use ePassi and Smartum vouchers to make ticket purchases online and at our physical box office. We also accept Edenred vouchers at our physical box office.

  3. How to pay at our Musiikkitalo box office
    We accept the following payment methods at our Musiikkitalo box office: debit card, Visa Electron, Visa, Mastercard and Maestro credit cards. Additionally, we accept Smartum, ePassi and Edenred vouchers. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept cash.

  4. Gift cards
    All physical gift cards purchased at Musiikkitalo in 2023 that are still within their validity period can be used to buy tickets for Musiikkitalo spring season 2024 concerts. If a balance remains on your card after spring 2024, and the card is still within its validity period, you can continue to use it to buy tickets for other events via Ticketmaster Suomi. Musiikkitalo gift cards will be available to purchase from 20 May 2024.

Official ticket outlets and pricesOfficial ticket outlets and prices

  1. The official ticket outlets for all Musiikkitalo events are the Musiikkitalo online ticket shop and the online ticket shops run by our resident orchestras Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra and Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, and Sibelius Academy, as well as the physical box office and telephone ticket service provided by Musiikkitalo.

  2. Ticket prices will be displayed in all marketing communications. The price of the ticket includes a service fee. Additional delivery fees or charges may be payable. These will be displayed during the ordering process.

  3. Any discounts offered (including for groups) will appear on the event listing. If you have purchased a discounted ticket, please bring proof of eligibility when attending the event.

  4. The service fee covers the costs associated with ticket sales and processing. In the event that an event is cancelled or rescheduled or there are changes to programming or scheduling, the service fee will not be refunded. We also do not offer refunds on any order or delivery fees.

Reservations

Your reserved tickets will remain available for purchase until the date shown on your reservation. Please note that the length of the reservation period will vary between events. Always check the reservation expiry date when placing your order. If you have not purchased the tickets by the date shown, your reservation will be cancelled, and the reserved tickets will be released back to sale.

Event changes

  1. It is your responsibility to check the event’s website for event information and details of any changes (including to time and date, programme and lineup) as well as cancellations. Musiikkitalo and the event organiser will contact you regarding any scheduling changes or cancellations using the contact details provided when you purchased your tickets.

  2. In the event of a cancellation, you will be refunded the cost of your ticket less the service fee. You will not be entitled to a refund in the event that the cancellation is due to insolvency or bankruptcy of the event organiser and Musiikkitalo has already remitted the ticket sale proceeds to the event organiser. Musiikkitalo and the event organiser are not liable for any indirect expenses you may incur as a result of rescheduling or cancellation.

  3. In circumstances other than cancellation, the event organiser is responsible for deciding whether tickets can be rescheduled or refunded.

  4. If an event is cancelled and you are entitled to a refund, you will, as a rule, be reimbursed via the same payment method that was used to make the purchase.

  5. Incorrect pricing or event information: Musiikkitalo shall not be held responsible for incorrect event or pricing information that is due to human, technical or other error and reserves the right to amend seating arrangements within the same price category and to amend the reservation to another price category, in which event any difference in price will be refunded to the customer. Musiikkitalo reserves the right to withdraw any purchased tickets and to refund the cost of the ticket and the service fee.

On the day

  1. Take good care of your ticket.

  2. Only customers with a valid ticket will be allowed into the event. Musiikkitalo and the event organiser accept no responsibility for lost tickets. If you are using a mobile device to display your ticket, ensure that your device has sufficient battery power.

  3. If you have purchased a discounted ticket, please bring proof of eligibility when attending the event.

Dispute resolution

  1. If a dispute arising from a contract subject to these terms and conditions cannot be resolved by the parties, the consumer may refer the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board (www.kuluttajariita.fi). Before making a referral to the Consumer Disputes Board, the consumer must first contact the Consumer Advisory Service provided by the Digital and Population Data Services Agency.
